Frequently Asked Questions

Yes – everything we talk about will be kept strictly confidential. The only exception to this is, for example, risk or safeguarding concerns in which case we will think about the best way to manage the situation. Otherwise, I will not share your information with other professionals (e.g., sharing information with your GP to get you additional support) without your permission.
No – you can get in touch with me by simply completing the self-referral form here Contact Me, or emailing me directly at hello@drpinarmarasli.co.uk. Please briefly state what you are seeking help for.
I accept clients who have a private health insurance.
Online and in-person sessions are offered.
The initial sessions will be mostly about understanding your past and present difficulties and the impact they are having on you and your life (e.g., work, education, relationships). This is to ensure that your treatment best fits with your needs. I take both an explorative and active form of approach to therapy, to help you get the most out of these sessions. I will gently push you to go outside your comfort zone, where necessary. Though it is difficult to know how many sessions each person will benefit from, we will have a mid-therapy review to discuss whether you are finding the sessions helpful, and if we need to do things differently (or do more of the things that are already working well) to get the most of remaining sessions.
